Quote of the Week

I will be sharing a quote that is a fav of mine and may give insight into what things I am going through, feeling, thinking about, etc...
April 3, 2011-"Anything you cannot relinquish, when it has outlived its
usefulness, possesses you; and in this materialistic age, a great many of us
are possessed by our possessions."

Happy New Year!

Here's to a GREAT 2008!
--------------------------------
To one and all, I wish you well.
The time has come to ring the bell,
Welcoming a new year fresh,
With all new days to make the best!
I look forward to Spring and smiles,
And places to visit across the miles.
But best to come is the unknown
And dreams of glories still unbound!
-----------------------------------
It has been great to hear from so many of you as we touch out to friends and family -- please continue to keep in touch and know that in spite of my hectic life, I truly do appreciate the love and support may within each breath be a song of praise to Him who has made it all possible.

Love -- H

Christmas Eve

Twas the night before Christmas and all along the coast, the people were merry and preparing the roast. The children were crazy and laughing throughout the condo, not needing more of a reason to go BONGO! When all of a sudden there arose such a clatter, but it was only the candy being scraped from the platter! Merry Christmas To All and to All A Great 2008!

We are blessed to be spending Christmas and New Year's in San Clemente, CA. We hope all are blessed with peace, grace, and love, this season of reflection and renewal!

Love

Great Night!

Wow!
Cameron and I were able to attend Michael McLean's "Forgotten Carols" concert/performance last night at the McKay Events Center at UVU. It was a great experience! I had known about the music for some time, and finally had the chance to see it performed at the Center Street Theater in Provo last year with Cameron. So, we got to see it with the author/composer extraordinaire last night, and Cameron and I were so glad we could go!! If you aren't familiar with it, I suggest you Google it -- they are beautiful songs along with a beautiful message for all who love this season!

After the show, McLean took time to spend with the audience -- at least 5,000 in attendance -- to share thoughts, music, and testimony. Jordan Bluth performed another song and truly has a voice from heaven!! What a powerhouse! We didn't get home until almost 10:30pm, but it was worth it!!

Hope your December is going well -- ours continues to be blessed!

Till next time-

December Already!

The days are flying along with the snow! We have had two weekends with tons of the beautiful white stuff!! What a great way to spend the weekends!! Many complain, but I, for one, LOVE IT!!! I can't wait to go skiing, burrowing in with my kids, watching movies, eating treats and being cozy! And I much prefer to see the world frosted and flocked than brown and barren.

The deck has been completed and it is a BEAUTY!! We even attached a slide, and the kids are having fun!! Cameron is already planning how to get a rope swing attached to the tree so he can jump from the deck -- the mom in me is cautious, but the kid in me says "BOO-YAH!!" :)

Napoleon might be on his way to earning his keep soon! We will find out if his first attempts at stud-servicing were a success. The female will be due late January -- we'll keep you posted.

Thanksgiving was lots of fun, with time spent playing, orgainizing, eating and relaxing with so many of Curtis's siblings! It was so great to get the South Carolina Fry's out to our neck of the woods and I know the cousins all made great memories together!!

As we prepare for this wonderful time of year, my mom was able to come and visit for a few days, provide creative advice, moral support and lots of great food and fun with the kids. Thanks Mom!!

We have three new babies -- Curtis' youngest bro & wife welcomed Anna Carolene, Shari & Brad welcomed Andrew James, and James & Sara just welcomed little Bella Elise this morning!! What a busy few weeks!! Just glad I get to play aunt now!! Congratulations to all!!

Thanks to all who share their love, support, friendship and time -- through family bonds or other ways -- I consider all to be a great blessing to me!

Some day I'll figure out how to get pictures on this thing, but until then I'll try to be better about getting postings on a regular basis.

Remember at this busy time of year -- "It's not the burdens that break you down, it's the way you carry them." Please know that I am convinced that the greatest gift we can give to the Christ Child is to share our burdens with Him and allow his love and acceptance to permeate our lives. You will feel lighter and more capable when you allow Him to meet your needs through the service of others. You need not do it alone...

DECK NEWS

Well, I have good news!! The deck is finally under construction. It will be a beauty, and so much better in reality than in my mind. I also finally have a painted front door -- too long of a story that is way too boring. Suffice it to say, this week has been going well. My cabinet guy even showed up, and says he'll be here Thursday and Friday. I'm trying to figure out (and find the time) to download pictures of Halloween and house, so keep checking...

I also climbed up a ladder to put a swing in my beautiful maple in the backyard! Brynna was so happy swinging and I was able to get more clean-up done, every little bit helps!

Beautiful Autumn days continue here in Orem!!

First Time

Thanks to my little sister who shows me how easy these things can be.

Day before Halloween -- Yeah!! I can finally take down the spider webs decorations!

Looking for the storm, it's raining today, we'll see how much the temperature drops in the next 24 hours. I don't remember a time that it wasn't snowing on Halloween while living in Colorado and Utah.

Lots of love to all!
